Mr. Danner founded The Alzana Group in 2021 to provide capital solutions to founder and family-owned businesses. He previously served as Managing Director and Head Operating Partner at The Gores Group, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm where he worked from 2014-2021. While at The Gores Group, Mr. Danner chaired the firm’s Operating Committee, acted as a member of the Gores Family Office Investment Committee, led operational due diligence for Gore’s investments and served on and chaired numerous Boards of Directors of the firm’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining Gores, he served as CEO of a private equity-backed wind turbine manufacturer, and as CEO of a venture capital-backed biotechnology manufacturing company. Previously, Mr. Danner served for six years at PerkinElmer, Inc. (NYSE: PKI) where he held numerous executive leadership positions, including Group Vice President of the $450M life science tools group. Earlier in his career, he was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company and an officer in the U.S. Navy’s nuclear submarine force. Mr. Danner earned a B.S. with distinction in mechanical engineering from Cornell University, and an M.B.A. with distinction from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Currently, Mr. Danner is owner and Chairman of the Board of Roman Stone, an industrial manufacturing company serving infrastructure and renewable energy markets, and Broadcast Electronics, an electronics manufacturing company serving the global media broadcast markets. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of Thought Industries, a SaaS-based EdTech company, where he was Founding Chairman.
In his free time, Mr. Danner loves spending time and traveling with his wife Terri and their three children Allie, Zach, and Nate. As an outdoor sports enthusiast, he also enjoys everything from surfing and skiing to sailing and taking long hikes with his dog Milo.
